De "Ranchu Brotherhood" is een Belgische vereniging (Kai) die het houden, kweken en verbeteren van Ranchu promoot en dit in heel Europa. De Kai is opgericht in België, in 2000 door een kleine groep goudvis-enthousiastelingen.
Uit Japan, het land van oorsprong, importeren wij heel regelmatig Ranchu met heel bekende bloedlijnen. Het is ons doel om in Europa hoge kwaliteit Ranchu te kweken en ontwikkelen.
De "Ranchu Brotherhood" organiseert 3 keer per jaar een competie waar Ranchu wordt beoordeelt volgens de standaard. Naast schoonheid is een belangrijk onderdeel van de beoordeling de manier waarop de Ranchu zwemt. Tijdens de lente en de zomer organiseren wij verschillende Tosai meetings. Tijdens deze bijeenkomsten jureren en bespreken wij Tosai (Ranchu gekweekt vanaf januari) met als doel deze te verbeteren. Eénmaal per jaar publiceren we een tijdschrift volledig in het teken van de Ranchu: "Kingyo-Info".
In 2008 hebben we een divisie opgericht in Engeland, the "Ranchu Brotherhood UK".
De Ranchu Brotherhood houdt, ontwikkelt en jureert Ranchu volgens de regels van de "All Japan Ranchu Association". De "ARJA" is de nationale, overkoepelende organisatie die alle Ranchu Kai van Japan verenigt. Elke Kai heeft in Japan een eigen jaarlijkse competitie. Op het einde van het seizoen, op 3 november, nemen alle kai die lid zijn van ARJA deel aan de "All Japan Ranchu Show". Zij tonen daar hun beste Ranchu. De show wordt georganiseerd in Tokyo, Osaka of Nagoya.

The English version
The "Ranchu Brotherhood" is a Belgian kai to promote, keep, breed and improve the Ranchu in Europe. The kai was founded in Belgium in 2000 by a small group of goldfish enthousiasts.
Regulary we import Ranchu from very famous bloodlines from Japan, the country of origin. It is our goal to breed and develop high quality Ranchu in Europe.
The "Ranchu Brotherhood" organises 3 competitions a year where the Ranchu is judged on beauty. Also very important at this judging is the way the Ranchu swim. During the spring and the summer we organise several Tosai studymeetings. During these meetings the Tosai - Ranchu bred from January - are judged and discussed to improve them. Once a year we publish the "Kingyo-info", a magazine dedicated to the Ranchu.
In 2008 we started a division in the United Kingdom, the Ranchu Brotherhood UK.
The Ranchu Brotherhood keeps, develops and judges the Ranchu according to the rules of the "All Japan Ranchu Association". The ARJA is the national organisation which unites the Ranchu Kai from all over Japan. In Japan each Kai has his own annual competition. At the end of the saison, on November the 3th, all members of all the Kai who are member of the ARJA come together to participate with their best Ranchu to the "All Japan Ranchu Show". This show is organised alternately in Tokyo, Osaka or Nagoya.
